Hello! 👋
My name is Yanxin(Amber) Lu, and I am currently a senior undergraduate student majoring in Computer Engineering at Zhejiang University - University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Joint Institute (ZJU-UIUC). During my junior year, I had the privilege of spending an exchange year at UIUC, which greatly enriched my academic and practical experience.
During the exchange year, I participated in the SciCode project under Prof. Hao Peng, where we developed a coding benchmark for evaluating language models' ability to solve complex, real-world scientific problems. This work has been accepted by NeurIPS D&B Track 2024. Additionally, I worked with Prof. Tong Zhang on projects aimed at improving LLMs' reasoning abilities and evaluating LLM's performance in research scenarios.
Currently, for my undergraduate thesis, I am working with Prof. Qiang Zhang to explore molecular retrosynthesis using LLMs. This project seeks to leverage advanced LLM capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in predicting synthetic routes for chemical compounds.
In Summer 2024, I interned at Lilith Games, where I worked on applying large language models to automated game testing and machine translation optimization.
Looking ahead, I am passionate about exploring how large language models can drive innovation in specialized domains. I am actively seeking collaboration opportunities to further refine my expertise and contribute to impactful projects.
Feel free to reach out if you'd like to connect or discuss potential collaborations!
I am interested in developing and optimizing large language models (LLMs) for real-world applications. My goal is to enhance the trustworthiness and robustness of LLMs, improving human-AI collaboration to ensure that LLMs effectively assist across diverse contexts while maintaining their reliability.
